Summer 2017 has seen the openings of two Arlo hotels, with which came two very different rooftop bars. Arlo Nomad is best for the after-work Midtown happy-hour, whereas the Soho hotel hosts a more accessible rooftop bar for casual drinks with a chill, summery vibe.
Arlo Soho’s rooftop bar first opened as The Good Story Rooftop in May 2017 with a “Surf Shack” theme. The plan is that every summer, ‘pop-up’ experiences take over the top floor with a rooftop that transforms into a fun, “urban oasis” themed bar. In 2018, the rooftop transformed itself into a more “classy” (but still super casual) layout ,with neutral colored couches and wooden tables, great for large group seating.
Great for groups & sunset drinks
The Hudson river views are not the most impressive, but Arlo Soho’s rooftop is great for a chill drink with a group of friends, with various comfortable seating arrangements and a grilling station – their summer snacks will come in handy to soak up all those Aperol Spritzs and frozés!
Arlo Soho Roof Top is a great outdoor spot with a fun relaxed vibe that will feel like a summer oasis in the middle of an urban west-side jungle. Great for groups and sunset drinks.
Arlo Soho roof also hosts cool private surf workout events!
